About us
The Sciences and Development Association is a Moroccan association dedicated to promoting and advancing science, research, and innovation to drive development on local, national, and international levels. Founded in 2020, the association believes in encouraging interdisciplinary and multidimensional partnerships and is oriented towards having a tangible impact on society and the environment. It also prioritizes improving communication in science, popularizing science among future generations, and establishing collaborations with researchers and scientific networks. With a focus on the recognition of excellence and merit, the association organizes scientific and cultural events, facilitates research missions, and supports young generations and students in their career development and innovative projects. Through its various initiatives, the Sciences and Development Association aims to further the advancement of science and contribute to sustainable development.
Our goals
Promoting science, multidisciplinary research, capacity building, and innovation in various fields to contribute to development on the local, national, regional and global levels.
Encouraging interdisciplinarity and multidimensional partnerships in science and sustainable development.
Engaging in orientation of activities and scientific projects towards action and impact on society and the environment.
Improving communication in/of science through the promotion of citizen science, and other means.
Popularizing science among future generations and supporting young scientists and their networks.
Establishing collaborations with national and international scientists and creating scientific networks on different levels.
Promoting national and international scientific cooperation and partnership, between members, specialists and public or private organizations via agreements established by the association and in accordance with its objectives.
Recognizing and encouraging the efforts of researchers through actions like awarding prizes of excellence and merit.
Promoting scientific research through the organization of scientific and cultural events (seminars, conferences, congresses, round tables, field trips, workshops, exhibitions, etc.) and training activities.
Collecting, processing, publishing, distributing and storing data for scientific use and non-commercial objectives.
Enhancing data, publishing, and dessiminating manuals, magazines, journals, books, etc.
Exchanging scientific, technical and cultural experiences and information among its members, specialists and the general public.
Promoting, coordinating and contributing to any project relevant to the association's objectives.
Facilitating members' research missions through the development of partnership agreements between the association and any specialized body (universities, public administrations, companies, associations, etc.) on the local, regional and global levels.
Launching and publishing scientific refereed journals.
Supporting young people and students in career development and innovative projects.
